The tuning package "Nismo Sports Reset Type 2". It allows owners of the Nissan Fairlady Z (in Japan) to increase engine power. According to Nissan, this improves “Nismo Sports Reset Type 2“ the performance characteristics of the engine by changing the boost pressure and the ignition timing. This is made possible by a special tuning box and without any changes to the hardware. In addition to optimizing the engine, Nismo also promises improved response in the lower and middle speed range, which is only possible in vehicles with automatic transmission and activated sport driving mode. Strangely enough, Nismo does not announce any specific key data for the Nismo ECM. The 3,0-liter VR30DDTT-V6 with biturbo charging of the Fairlady Z delivers 405 hp & 475 Nm torque in the standard condition. The "Nismo Sports Resetting Type 2" is currently the only upgrade for the RZ34 generation of the Nissan Z. More tuning components are to follow soon.

As with the predecessor, sports exhaust systems and performance components for the engine and drive train will certainly soon be part of it. In the US, Nissan will soon be offering a range of Nismo parts for the Z, including coilovers, anti-roll bars, larger brakes, a different intercooler, a cold air intake, and a sports exhaust system. The cost of the "Nismo Sports Resetting Type 2" in Japan is ¥143.000 (approx. €985). The kit can be purchased at Nismo Omori Factory and Nismo Performance Center in Yokohama.
