Opel Astra plug-in hybrid in XS design

When tuning fans and car lovers hear the name "XS", their hearts beat faster. Because the specialists of the XS crew transform cars into unique collector's items - like the new one now Opel Astra. The hybrid version of the latest compact class generation with the lightning bolt shines as a show car in the typical Opel Motorsport look. With the unmistakable one-off, Opel and XS will attract visitors to the XS Carnight '20 Years of XSCN' on July 29th and 30th in the Berlin Olympic Stadium. The next highlight of the series of events will be on September 17th with the XS Carnight at Wörthersee in Austria – Opel is also there as a partner with the one-of-a-kind vehicle refined by XS. Last year, Opel caused a stir at the international tuning meeting at Simonhöhe am Wörthersee with the public premiere of the latest Astra generation.

Now the XS Carnight specialists have taken on the new Astra plug-in hybrid with great attention to detail, like the current one YouTube video indicates. The electrified Astra already shines with a system output of 133 kW/180 hp and a maximum torque of 360 Newton meters. In addition, the five-door comes with the top equipment Ultimate - numerous state-of-the-art technologies and comfort features from the fully digital Pure Panel Cockpit to the glare-free Intelli-Lux LED^® Pixel light up to AGR-certified ergonomic sport-active seats in Alcantara for driver and front passenger included. In addition, the otherwise white-painted Astra with a black roof features the High Gloss Black equipment. This means that the "Astra" lettering and brand flash on the front and rear as well as the chrome applications on the front shine in high-gloss black.

The ideal basis for the Freitaler to convert the car into an unmistakable one-off. The tuners equipped the Astra with a “GRINDS air suspension” that was fitted with original shock absorbers and height sensors from “Carstyle me”. The refined Astra with the 20-inch forged wheels (tyres: 245/30 R20) from the American rim manufacturer "RVNT Forged" will also be an eye-catcher at the XS Carnights. The special wheels are initially only for presentation and are intended to show tuning fans on the Astra what is possible. The XS team even worked on the bumpers and paid attention to the smallest details: During the conversion, the number plate reinforcement and holes were removed - the number plate now holds thanks to magnets attached to the bumper. The Astra is clear, bold and unmistakable, not least with its motorsport decals inspired by the legendary Opel Manta 400, which are emblazoned on the sides of the vehicle and together with the lettering on the upper end of the windscreen. A similar version of this motorsport decal is also available from Opel accessories.

The new Opel Astra will not only be a real eye-catcher at the upcoming XS Carnights, but will certainly also cause a stir in the bilingual XS Mag, which is distributed worldwide, and on the XS social media channels. Because just to take part in the events, vehicle owners with their high-quality conversions must first master a strict application process, so that only automotive jewels can be seen on site. With the specially equipped and refined Astra Hybrid Ultimate, Opel once again shows how the compact class bestseller from Rüsselsheim can also arouse the desires of the tuning fan base.
