After the Unique Polo Project, FOLIATEC®.com also relies on tires from YOKOHAMA for its latest show car. This time something from the "Ultra High Performance" shelf was in demand. Because the car styling specialists from Nuremberg wanted to build a street performance vehicle that also has track qualities to celebrate their 40th anniversary. When it came to tires, the choice fell on the YOKOHAMA ADVAN NEOVA AD08RS, which by today's standards is not particularly generous in size, 215/45 R17 at the front and 245/40R17 at the rear. Anyone expecting a souped-up small car is wrong, however. Because the base vehicle for the anniversary show car called the FT8 is the legendary Opel Speedster. With an exterior length of less than 3,8 meters and a weight of significantly less than one ton, this roadster is the perfect curve robber. In addition, the technical basis of the Opel built between 2001 and 2005 in homeopathic doses is closely related to the Lotus Elise.

By the way, it was not until 2021 that this legendary series, which scared many more powerful vehicles, retired as the "Series 3". In such duels, however, it is always the tires that make the difference between victory and defeat. In any case, the pilot of the FT8 Roadster does not have to worry about this. The reinforcements ("steel inserts") worked into the sidewall of the YOKOHAMA ADVAN NEOVA AD08RS guarantee an extremely direct response, the short warm-up time ensures full performance from the first lap. The tread design provides optimum control on dry and wet roads. The strengths of the tire developed for tuning and club racing vehicles are excellent cornering and perfect stability and control at high speeds. Uniform shoulder blocks (Uni-Block) cause a larger contact area. If you don't have a Speedster: In 2022, the ADVAN NEOVA AD08RS will be available in 31 sizes, covering a wide range of vehicles.

The spectrum ranges from 185/55R15 82V (240 km/h) to 255/30R19 91W XL (270 km/h). The look of the tire is also convincing, after all, FOLIATEC®.com was not least concerned with the successful appearance. In addition to a coilover kit from Eibach, the FT8 from FOLIATEC®.com has rims of the type MOTEC Nitro refined with “Universal 2K paint spray” and a BASTUCK stainless steel exhaust system. In addition, the project fathers have immortalized many other products. The Speedster was completely coated with "body spray film" in Ralton 7016 (anthracite gray) and black "Hard Rock Liner". Seats and steering wheel were given a matte black color scheme with the help of “Interior Color Spray”.
