This year's SEMA Auto Show once again attracted all kinds of cars and conversions. And one of the vehicles that has gone down a bit so far, that was a Chevrolet C5 generation Corvette with an XXL widebody kit from Robb Ferguson. Ferguson is on Instagram by the name goodshow_aa known and already has one modified Nissan 240SX with Boss conversion kit by TRA Kyoto stand in the garage. So he's no stranger to modifying vehicles. And he usually does the conversions almost himself in his garage at home. For SEMA he decided to base it on a C5 Corvette and thanks to a Wide body kits by TRA Kyoto. In the US, the Japanese provider is under the name Pandem known and in other markets also as Rocket Bunny Kits.
Pandem widebody kit
The kit specially designed for the C5 Corvette is extreme, to say the least. It starts at the front, where TRA Kyoto installed a new bumper that sits significantly lower to the ground and has a completely transformative effect on the overall look of the vehicle. Of course, the kit also accommodates significantly widened fenders all around, which ensures that the Vette is almost menacing on the road.
The kit made it possible for Ferguson to install a set of fat WORK Wheels aluminum rims in the wheel arches, which are fitted with Toyo tires. The body kit is rounded off by a revised rear apron and a powerful rear spoiler. And as is so often the case with vehicles modified and rebuilt for the SEMA show, the remaining time proved to be Ferguson's biggest challenge. But he managed to complete the vehicle at exactly the right time, which, by the way, has been significantly lowered using Airride.
Homage to the Greenwood Corvette
However, the successful Retro foiling only raised and completed the night before the show opened. The foil and base coat are inspired by the 1976 Greenwood Corvette, which competed in the IMSA GT class at the time. The look combines the colors red, white and blue with striking gold accents and a gold number 777 on the sides. Finally, there were details in the cabin, like Bride bucket seats, a chic sports steering wheel or a custom-made roll cage.
