Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 "Code Red" with crazy 1.318 hp!

And when you think you can't take it anymore, another Shelby comes along from somewhere. Bi-turbo charging in combination with the well-known 5,2-liter V8 of the Mustang? The result is a Mustang-based hypercar. Yes, from the beginning! From the tuner and manufacturer Shelby American there is a (wahrscheinlich) last expansion stage based on the current one Ford Mustang (VI/LAE). And he scolds himself Shelby GT500 "Code Red" and has one GT500 conversion package thereby, the maximum insane 1.318 PS performs. This puts you driving a Mustang in Bugatti hypercar territory. And at a fraction of the cost. But all you want to do is build 30 Code Reds. 10 GT500 vehicles each from 2020, 21 and 22 will be converted. All get comprehensive Body-, Landing gear- and engine modifications and the XXL upgrade kit should cost a whopping 209.995 US dollars excl. donor vehicle.

Nevertheless, with the total costs you are far away from a vehicle with comparable performance from Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Rimac & Co. However, with a catch. More on that later. Incidentally, the inspiration for the project and the name "Code Red" came from a test vehicle of a GT500 from 2008. Its 5,4-liter V8 supercharged engine was used at the time BiTurbo setup rebuilt. And that's basically what has been done now. Because the 5,2-liter V8 of the current GT500 also got a set turbocharger donated. The result of the efforts under the hood leads to insane ones 1.014 PS and 1.058 Nm torque when using conventional 93 octane fuel and are maximum 1.318 PS and 1.356 Nm torque with E85 ethanol inside.

The Twin-turbo kit by the way comes from Fathouse Performance and includes double ball bearings Kona turbocharger, there were special stainless steel manifold and 3 inch downpipes (76 mm) are also installed. To do this, you install high-quality ones in the engine Manley pistons and connecting rods, there were ARP studs and Heavy Duty Timing Chain is also installed. With special Injectors and a MoTec engine management system the changes are essentially rounded down. And, of course, the look has also been completely transformed.

So that the GT500 with well over 1.000 hp also has the right visual presence, Shelby installed one carbon hood, a Carbon front splitter, a Carbon-fiber rear diffuser and a powerful one Carbon rear wing on the Mustang. Plus all around Widebody fenders and of course a modified one Suspension. Specifically installed is a fully adjustable system with height adjustable Spring, retuned MagneRide dampers and even forged ones Shelby aluminum wheels can be seen.

There is a new one there Leather seats, CSM numbered dashboard, high quality Deep pile overmats and one at the back Roll cage instead of a back seat.
