The Ferrari 512 Testarossa became an absolute legend not only through the Miami Vice television series. The super sports car presented in 1984 also got its name from the red painted valve covers of the V12 engine. In the 1990s, the Ferrari Testarossa was the car that hung in many children and some girls as a poster in the nursery and that a whole generation of car fans dreamed of. Even today the model still enjoys absolute cult status at Ferrari, and although the last Testarossa rolled off the assembly line in 1996, the model name is associated with the Ferrari brand like no other. It is highly likely that many Ferrari fans around the world dream that the model name will be revived and that a worthy successor to the legend will leave the factory in Maranello to continue the Testarossa myth. Even today, the mid-engine super sports car of the 90s is extremely popular as a kit and as a model car for young and old, and an end to the popularity of the automotive legend is still in sight almost 25 years after the end of the construction period. And the myth of Ferrari also extends to distant Japan, where a car-loving tuner has modified his darling so that tuning is probably not only controversial among Ferrari fans.

Ferrari fan Kazuki Ohashi, who lives in the Japanese city of Okayama, tuned his darling, a Ferrari Testarossa from 1989, exactly as he wished, and gave the Italian stallion an AccuAir e-level suspension control, a Prazis air suspension and missed a negative camber. This makes the Italian, which is only 1,13 m flat, a true asphalt planer, which runs the risk of damaging the front spoiler on the autumn leaves. At the front is the slammed Ferrari on 18-inch rims and at the rear on 19-inch wheels, which are replicas of the Autostrada Modena rims. In addition, the wheel arches have been widened by 20 mm, which means that the standard 1,97 m wide Ferrari barely scratches the 2-meter mark in the horizontal. The rear bumper of the facelift model 512 TR was also attached to this model. In spite of the modifications, this car looks very tastefully tuned in our opinion, and although it is known that tuning for old Ferrari models is divided, we would consider the refinement of the mid-engine racer from Maranello to be very successful. At every brand-open tuning meeting, the athlete would probably fight for trophies.

The interior of the Italian, on the other hand, is completely standard except for the AccuAir e-Level control, and thus exudes the rough charm of the late 1980s, when super sports cars were still hard, loud and difficult to operate.

The 4,9-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine of the Testrossa, which shines with a maximum output of 390 hp and a brute torque of 490 Nm at that time, would still be enough today to properly motorize a sports car, even if the sprint values from 5,3 seconds to 100 km / h or 13,5 seconds on the quarter mile, no longer tear anyone off their feet today. The top speed is completely different, because even today 295 km / h are still an announcement to most production vehicles, which are limited to 250 kilometers per hour. With its rear-wheel drive and open five-speed gearshift, the car is very puristic and requires a skilled hand on the steering wheel. ESP was also a foreign word in 1989. But if you have driving skills, you can have a lot of fun with the car.
