At least since the spacey Steampunk Carlex Design MINI Countryman from 2017 we know that the Polish tuner has a penchant for particularly unusual vehicles. And one of them is now the Mercedes G63 AMG (W463A) Steampunk edition which is to be produced in a limited small series of only 10 vehicles. The result is a G-Class with a crazy retro science fiction look. And in contrast to the other projects, the focus was by no means only on the interior. The G is completely modified and has devoured well over 5.000 working hours. We are not really surprised that this enormous effort and the noble special equipment in manufactory quality are rewarded with 450.000 euros. But you get a retro science fiction steampunk unique!

And this unique piece could easily have been used in blockbusters such as "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", "Wild Wild West", "Van Helsing", "Steamboy" or "Mortal Engines: War of the Cities". Once again Carlex Design has created an automotive work of art with innumerable craftsmanship and ingenuity and we are not worried that the 10 copies of the limited small series will be sold out quickly. Incidentally, the photo vehicle is number 1 out of 10. The G63 features a design concept with the use of precious metals and gemstones and is accompanied by a perceived ton of gold in a noble rose tone on the inside and outside. Apart from a few details (logo, moldings, side pipes, etc.), the unchanged body was given a unique relief on the roof that is a copper cover with steampunk motifs. The engraving on the roof and the wheel cover on the rear is absolutely amazing. It's hard to believe that everything was done by hand, which explains the working hours mentioned well.

Copper-colored 22-inch rims with the Carlex design logo rotate in the wheel arches, and even the brake calipers feature Steampunk Edition lettering. Plus a handmade one spare wheel cover and all other changes focus on the cabin. Every millimeter exudes the fantasy and gloom of the Victorian era and the hand-decorated leather, the copper or rose gold-coated parts and the high-quality Alcantara headlining are particularly eye-catching. He sports a large embroidery with steampunk motifs. If you sit in the vehicle, the hopefully existing "slippers“A vehicle floor made of American walnut and also a highly polished pedals are installed.
And how this vehicle was created, Carlex has immortalized extensively in a leather-bound book decorated with gold emblems. This book also shows how, for example, the dashboard has been lavishly covered with leather, how the center armrest with a skull was created or how the split-fold back seat got its high-quality wooden paneling. In addition, all the names of the artists and craftsmen who worked on the Steampunk tuning Remodeling was involved, noted. At a price of 450.000 euros, you somehow expect that.
