If anyone has ever asked themselves how quickly a 1.020 PS strong Model S Plaid with armor, we have the answer for that here. Because from the company armor max the vehicle comes from the following video. The doors themselves are of course much heavier, but according to the video they can still be opened and closed easily. YouTuber Ben Hardy had a chance to drive the armored Model S Plaid for a lap and found that performance was little affected by the extra weight. The autopilot was probably still working normally. Noisy armor max the weight was reduced by the armor around well 136 kg increased, which have to be added to the curb weight of 2.189 kilograms. All in all, the weight of the additional armor is not much in our opinion. According to Armormax, such armor should cost around 60.000 US dollars, depending on the individual specification.
