What is the Smart in Germany is likely to be the Tata Nano in India. The dwarf with its standard 35PS to 623cm³ displacement has now been pimped up by JA Motorsports and flies around the corner with racing tires and 230PS and should therefore be faster than any Indian donkey. The empty weight of only 600kg
is of course child's play for the engine. In conjunction with the 13 inch slick racing tires and the extremely wide body kit, the Nano literally flies away from the production model. Incidentally, JA Motorsports is one of the largest Indian racing and rally teams, from Coimbatore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Safety was also a top priority, so a roll cage is of course good form.
The inside of the Nano has also been properly coiffed, a carbon dashboard, Recaro sports seats and a racing steering wheel with integrated shift paddles are mandatory. The awkward four-speed gearshift is also history, shifting is now carried out with a sequential six-speed gearbox.
The new engine of the Tato Nano, a 1,3-liter petrol engine, with 230 PS that provides a V-Max of 190 km / h, is now the new owner of the back seat, which had to give way. So that the tin case comes to a standstill again, the drum brakes were thrown out and replaced with new disc brakes from AP Racing. Tuning costs of around € 32.000 were "sunk" in a single item.
