Actually, it is difficult to imagine what has to happen when you fully press the pedal in a Tesla Model S P90D with 772PS & 967NM torque and shoot to 3,6km / h in a crazy 100 seconds - at least if you have never been like me sat in one. Note that a P90D weighs a whopping 200kg more than, for example, a 450PS strong BMW 750i xdrive or a comparable S-Class and yet the electric power brings the Model S well ahead of the competition at every traffic light start. So what can be wrong with the Model S? We tell you -> the design! Not that the Tesla is ugly, definitely not, it's just damn smooth and optically definitely not a vehicle that stands out from the crowd. But that was definitely not the goal of the designers at Tesla Motors. Fortunately, there are tuners like Voltes design, Larte design or RevoZport on request, the Stromer miss a completely new look. Just this last tuner RevoZport has been offering an extensive wide body kit for the Model S named "RevoZport R-centric“Made of carbon which has now found its way to the GMP Performance team in North Carolina.
The tunings on the Tesla Model S
The tuner not only strapped the body kit around the Model S but also wrapped the luxury sedan in a matt blue film and donated a set of ADV.1 Wheels alloy wheels in 21 inches (ADV10). With such extensive modifications, the Model S looks like it is from another planet. With a harmonious look, a rich appearance and the extreme electric power, BMW & Co. have a damned hard time against the GMP Model S, that's for sure! The team from GMP Performance released the model S P90D the days and we are of course pleased to be able to show you the pictures. After the extensive tuning cure that the Model S was allowed to endure, it is now visually significantly changed, more individual and more dynamic than the production version without exaggerating or disrupting the harmonious factory design. So if you have been secretly thinking of buying a Tesla Model S (also P85D) or even a happy owner, GMP Performance is definitely an interesting starting point when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model. And for all those who are not necessarily based in the USA, the vehicle may serve as a tuning template for the local tuning partner.
As far as the further changes to optics or technology are concerned, we have tried to find out the most important details. As always, we have listed what came out of this in a small summary for you in the lower part of the article. These are the known changes to the series of the Tesla Model S:
- matt blue foil all around
- 21 inch ADV.1 Wheels alloy wheels in matt black
- RevoZport R-Centric Bodykit (front spoiler, side skirts, spoiler lip, rear diffuser, fender flares all around)
- red calipers
- Lowering (sports springs, coil springs, sports suspension, coilover suspension, with standard air suspension possibly by adjusting the electronics - more information is not available)
- darkened / tinted windows
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
