350 hp in the HKS Co. Ltd. "Widebody" Toyota Yaris GR

It is a fact that the Toyota GR Yaris has taken the automotive world by storm since it was launched a few months ago. The tiny one attracts at least as much attention as the fifth generation of the Supra (A2019) in 90. And it is very likely that there will be a lot of cool projects based on the Yaris in the next few months. Due to the pricing and vehicle class, the little one will probably even easily outperform the Supra. It is simply more affordable and the basis for various conversions may even be Together. Especially with regard to the top model, the “GR” with a whopping 261 hp. And the Yaris will get a lot of attention in the drifting scene too. And now a Nobuteru Taniguchi vehicle is starting. He is a Japanese racing driver and is nicknamed NOB, what for No one better stands. Maybe a little cocky, but what the heck. The nickname fits the car anyway.

350 PS HKS widebody Toyota Yaris GR

The Yaris GR was set up by HKS and visually has almost nothing in common with the series. Although he is in the shadow of the 1.000 (!!!) PS Yaris by Daigo Saitos (seen in the video below), but the HKS GR Yaris with all-wheel drive already has an impressive 350 hp. And it has an aggressive widebody kit with clearly flared fenders at the front and rear, a huge front apron with wings on the right and left and an exorbitantly adjustable frit counter at the rear. Only at second glance do you notice the tiny motorsport rear-view mirrors. That what Pandem with the 2020 GR Yaris virtual planning, so HKS has already put that on the road. There was also the classic HKS foiling (oil splash color / as well as on 2JZ Toyota GR Supra drift car) and as already mentioned a lot of pressure under the hood. By increasing the boost pressure and a different exhaust system, the engine now delivers a hefty 350 hp. It goes without saying that there is a lot more here with further changes.

Motorsport wheelset with Advan tires

Of course, there is also a befitting motorsport wheelset (Endless RH9) with Advan tires and spacers. A few modifications have also been made to the chassis. The Yaris is lowered a few millimeters, which is due to a coilover kit and of course a changed steering angle and a new handbrake are mandatory. Basically, the technical changes are quite manageable. And there have already been modifications in the interior. In addition to darkened side windows, the Japanese Hot Hatch Bride installed sports seats with sports belts and the back seat was blown out. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
