Who is just looking for a classic T with lots of modern conveniences, this one-off piece from the team of TLC Automotive just right. The company is a subsidiary of Icon, but TLC Automotive focuses exclusively on that restoration and the renovation (and the restomod) of classic Land Cruisers. Icon, on the other hand, likes to take one Dodge Power Wagon or a classic Ford Bronco before. And of course such a converted vehicle also has its own Price. This particular example of a 1988 FJ62 is said to be priced at 175.000 US Dollars sold. The vehicle was completely dismantled and from scratch restauriert. And in the wake of the changes, TLC is making the FJ62 significantly better than the original. Because as already mentioned, it is about one Restomod.

That means modern Amenities find their way under the sheet metal. For example under the hood. Instead of the old six-cylinder in-line engine from the factory, there is now one in the tidy engine compartment 6,2 liter LS3-V8 with mighty 430 PS and 576 Newtonmeter torque installed. The new engine is coupled to a GM gearbox in form of a 4L65E four-speed automatic.

If you compare the key data of the engine with the most powerful specimen from back then, i.e. with the 4,0-liter in-line six-cylinder with 155 hp, then it becomes clear that the V8 almost three times the performance compared to the original engine. The modernized SUV has a special one for this Off-road chassis from Old Man Emu installed, and TLC states that the components are significantly more convenient than the series. The wheelset is also based on the mighty BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO2 33 inches (0,84 m) Off-road tiresthat promise a lot of grip, especially off-piste.

Behind the round pieces on black Method alloy wheels hides a modern one sports brake systemwhich even has disc brakes on the rear axle. Visually, on the other hand, you hold back completely. Actually, apart from the wheels and the like-new condition, the vehicle looks complete standard out. There are plenty of upgrades inside for that. There is a new one Leather upholstery for the seats and the Door panels, the armchairs are heated and there is also a new one HVAC Kima control installed. The improved dashboard also has a Infotainment system with navigation. All in all, an extremely impressive vehicle.
