He is brand new - the one G02 BMW X5 the now fourth Generation. And only a short time after the official presentation, the first M Performance Parts for the SUV with the giant kidneys are presented. Basically, it is the well-known carbon add-on parts, new rims or interior details that were already known from the F15 predecessor. With the market launch in March of next year, M Performance Parts will be available in the range. The body parts consist of air inlet panels for the standard front bumper and optional front winglets. The rear can also be equipped with winglets on request and also has a sporty diffuser. Of course, the obligatory kidneys and gills in black should not be missing and there are also sporty game caps.

Incidentally, all attachments made of carbon are handcrafted. You get a special seal with clear coat and then polished to a high gloss. Next available side skirts in matte black and with M-Performance lettering and, as already mentioned, also new alloy wheels. Here are currently the sizes 20 and 22 inches. If you want a more practical bike, which also serves its purpose in the field, so BMW recommends new 20-inch star-spoke alloy wheels in black with all-terrain tires. If you are only riding on a fixed surface, 22-Zoll-Sternspeichen-Alus are the better and nicer alternative. They come with rolled rim base and are slightly lighter (1 kg) than comparable standard wheels.

Also available is one M Performance sports brake system with larger, ventilated and perforated brake discs and striking red painted saddles. For the interior, BMW offers a M Performance steering wheel with Alcantara in the grip area. It has a carbon-fiber steering wheel cover, carbon paddle shifters and a cool red 12 watch mark, as well as silver-gray cross-stitch seams. And just like any other BMW, there are still individual M Performance floor mats, stainless steel pedal pads, a key case made of Alcantara with carbon fiber insert and tire pockets for summer / winter bikes. A small highlight is the M Performance Dia-Set, which projects M-Performance-Motifs like the M-Logo onto the street when entering and exiting.
And as nice fun, there is still the so-called for the very personal analysis of the driving style M Performance Drive Analyzer. A stick plugged into the on-board diagnostic interface and includes a free app for the mobile phone. Once installed, vehicle dynamics data and numerous recording and analysis options are available. Even the entire ride can now be recorded with the camera of the smartphone. Who needs it in an X5 ...
