Turner Engineering Land Rover Defender 110 Restomod!

On Bring a trailer this 1990 Land Rover 110 is currently for sale. It was exported from Great Britain to Italy and then overtaken by "The Landrovers" in the Netherlands about 5 years ago. It finally reached the US coast in 2016 and has been there ever since. The Defender 110 is painted in the rare Portofino Red, which already attracts a lot of attention. There are also black wheel arches, massive steps, a matt black painted roll cage with roof rack and a ladder is also installed. The custom grille shows an aluminum cooler from Series Defender Outfitters and Vision X ADV lights with polycarbonate lenses are also installed. In addition, the classic is on 16 inch Black Toro Blanco rims, which are covered with 265/75 BFGoodrich KM2 Mud-Terrain T / A tires.

For this purpose, a special damping material and even new door seals were installed under the bonnet, in the doors and in many positions in the cabin. It is probably not a quiet step in the interior, but there will be a clear difference to the series. Additional amenities include heated seats in the front, LED lighting, a Garmin Montana GPS and an Apple CarPlay sound system with subwoofer, amplifier and reversing camera.

restored 2,5-liter four-cylinder 200 Tdi

The restored one-off is powered by the well-known 2,5-liter four-cylinder 200 Tdi turbodiesel produced by Turner Engineering has been completely overhauled. There was a new turbocharger with variable turbine geometry, a double intercooler and the power transmission to all 4 wheels takes place via an LT77 five-speed manual transmission with a two-speed transfer case and limited slip differential. A Salisbury differential is also installed on the rear axle. The engine gets air by the Mantec intake snorkel and longer tours through the outback are made possible by the 10-gallon additional tank, which is protected from injuries by an aluminum protective plate on the underbody.

Old Man Emu high performance undercarriage

The Old Man Emu high-performance chassis, with coil springs and massive shock absorbers, is helpful in the field, and a 48-inch jack with aluminum brackets is included for emergencies. And of course the braking system was also taken care of. The Defender has enlarged disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear as new.
