BILSTEIN B6 turns old VW T3s into ideal globetrotters!

Anna and Martin can't do much with package holidays. The two of them need their freedom and never stay in one place for long. Your loyal companion is “Schlumpf”, a 35-year-old VW T3 camper from Westfalia, which has been made fit for travel across Europe with B6 shock absorbers from BILSTEIN, among other things. The Bulli, which was already a bit worn out and which the two bought from a backyard dealer for little money in 2012, is nowhere to be seen. “Since we like to look for overnight spots off the beaten track, this conversion was one of the most important for us,” reveals Martin about the shock absorbers: “Having a robust, but at the same time comfortable chassis is simply worth gold for us.” In addition Among other things, the interior was renovated, the high roof was rebuilt and solar panels with a total output of 200 watts were installed. Anna and Martin have already traveled through half of Europe with their Bulli: from northern France to southern France and from Fehmarn to Croatia and Italy.

BILSTEIN B6 in the old VW T3

The blue and yellow BILSTEIN B6 gas pressure shock absorbers have always done their job perfectly. They stand for improved series replacement, optimal performance, driving safety in all situations and a high level of comfort. With the extra portion of damping power, they are particularly ideal for trips with a high payload, as is typical for a motorhome. The vehicle's center of gravity, which has been unfavorably shifted upwards due to the high roof and raised roof, is also optimally compensated.

Heavy roof loads, bike racks or the pulling of trailers also keep the high-performance damper on track. It plays its trump cards wherever even good standard chassis reach their limits. The additional performance of the BILSTEIN B6 shock absorbers pays off even on bad roads, as they can withstand blows well and the T3 is prevented from rocking right from the start. "If we feel like it, we can drive off the road and wake up with a mountain panorama - that is simply priceless!" Enthuses Anna.

BILSTEIN B6 as an absolute all-rounder

“In our experience, the BILSTEIN B6 is a really good all-rounder,” says Martin happily: “We were even able to drive on gravel roads at a good 70 km / h without the damper getting too hot. We are very satisfied so far and would recommend this suspension option to anyone who likes to cover stretches on the autobahn, but also wants to leave the paved roads every now and then. ”But no matter where the path leads, the BILSTEIN B6 shines under all external circumstances and regardless of the load with perfect grip, directional stability and driving safety. Thus, the gas pressure shock absorber is the perfect solution for everyone who likes to travel by car, are on the way to outdoor activities or “scrub miles” with a full business load.

Of course, that wasn't the end of it!
