In February Audi announced the SQ7 and SQ8 in America with V8 petrol to deliver. And now that's happening here too! They will start in the European markets from autumn 2020. The brand is responding to the global trend towards sporty Otto engines in the high-performance SUV segment. When it comes to the chassis, the Audi SQ7 and SQ8 offer numerous high-tech components, and they also offer new connectivity and assistance functions. With its 373 kW (507 PS) output and 770 Nm torque, the 4.0 TFSI petrol engine drives the large Audi SQ7 and SQ8 extremely powerfully. The sprint from zero to 100 km / h is ticked off in 4,1 seconds, while the intermediate sprint from 80 to 120 km / h takes just 3,8 seconds. The electronically limited top is 250 km / h. Depending on the equipment selected, the SQ7 consumes between 100 and 12,1 liters of fuel per 12,0 kilometers, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 278 to 276 grams per kilometer. The SQ8 also has 12,1 to 12,0 liters.

with cylinder on demand (COD)

The Biturbo V8 is a high-tech engine. The cylinder on demand (COD) system temporarily shuts down four cylinders in a moderate driving style, thereby reducing consumption. The two twin-scroll turbochargers improve the filling of the combustion chambers by reducing the exhaust gas back pressure and optimizing the gas exchange. They are in the 90-degree V of the cylinder banks - this layout enables short gas paths and spontaneous response even at low engine speeds. In the exhaust system, two map-controlled switching flaps modulate the eight-cylinder sound. Active engine mounts minimize the transmission of vibrations to the body by generating phase-shifted counter impulses with their voice coils. These overlap with the vibrations of the engine and largely cancel them out.

For sporty movement: power transmission and chassis

An eight-speed tiptronic and quattro permanent all-wheel drive transfer the superior power of the 4.0 TFSI to the road. Audi equips the SQ7 and SQ8 with two sporty suspension components as standard: the sport air suspension adaptive air suspension sport with controlled dampers and the all-wheel steering. It turns the rear wheels in opposite directions when driving slowly up to 5 degrees, which increases handiness and reduces the turning circle. From 60 km / h they steer in the same direction in favor of stability at higher speeds and when changing course quickly. The advanced suspension package includes another highly effective component - electromechanical active roll stabilization (EAWS). When the car is driving straight ahead, the system, which acts on the stabilizers by means of an electric motor, ensures a high level of ride comfort. When cornering quickly, it reduces the roll. This package also includes the sport differential, which shifts the drive torque between the rear wheels as required when cornering quickly. This makes handling even more agile and precise.

electronic chassis platform (EFP)

As the central control unit, the electronic chassis platform (EFP) networks most of the controlled chassis systems with each other. The driver experiences this close cooperation with maximum handling precision. In the Audi drive select system, the driver can choose from seven driving profiles - comfort, auto, dynamic, efficiency, allroad, offroad and individual. The Audi SQ7 rolls on 20-inch wheels as standard, wheels up to 22 inches in size are available as an option. The standard size of the SQ8 is 21 inches and the option sizes are 22 and 23 inches. The brake discs on the front axle are 400 millimeters in diameter in both cars, and their black calipers carry S logos. Alternatively, Audi installs carbon fiber ceramic discs at the front and rear, which are particularly powerful and stable. The saddles are painted anthracite gray here. Innovations in infotainment, networking and driver assistance systems complete the technology package of the two models - they make driving and parking even more confident, pleasant and comfortable.

From € 93.287,40: the market starts in autumn
