For generations, the VW Passat has been one of the most popular mid-range models worldwide. While the Passat Variant is particularly common in Germany and Europe, the sedan is very popular in China and the USA. The Variant is not even offered there, as station wagons are practically unsaleable in these markets. In this country, however, it is completely different, as the proportion of sedans in the Passat in Germany is below 20 percent, which means that the limo is not as common in the German VW tuning scene as a Passat Variant, a Golf or a VW Polo . Nevertheless, of course, the notchback version of the Wolfsburg middle class also has its fans, who lavishly modify and refine their sweetheart in order to benevolently stand out from the crowd.
matt black sedan turns heads
The Passat Limo presented by us is native to China and was given by its owner with a Stance tuning and Ray's GT-V rims in 19-inch format. The rims are painted matt gray and have a shiny chrome running surface, which creates a pleasant contrast to the matt black foil. The tuner has also put on tires in the format 235 / 35-19, which are wider than the standard slippers. There is also a Magic in the Volkswagen Air suspension, which means that the Passat can be lowered far to achieve the best show effect in combination with the built-in ABT spoiler lip. In addition, a rear spoiler in Rump optics appropriate, which is very trendy these days with Chinese tuners. You can see the accessory in many refined cars from the Middle Kingdom and it probably belongs to the CDM style just do it. In addition, a racing brake system from AP Racing with a disk diameter of 380 mm was installed, which bears the designation AP 8520. Equipped in this way, the Passat can burn sports car-like deceleration values into the asphalt even at high speeds, even though there is a strict speed limit in China anyway, and the car's potential cannot be fully exploited. So pimped up, the B8 would certainly also be a car in this country that VW and tuning fans from young to old are turning to.
Almost nothing was changed on the engine!
Unfortunately, we do not know which engine was installed, but the power range of the gasoline engines offered in China for the Passat B8 ranges from 150 - 220 hp. The maximum torque is between 250 and 350 Newton meters, depending on the engine, and a DSG gearbox is built into all of them as standard. This is also the case with this copy, which was modified with F1 shift paddles and an Audi RS logo on the selector lever in the interior. The engine apparently received an INJEN air intake system and a "Res" sports exhaust system. When it comes to top speed, even the smallest version of the Passat is already well positioned in the forage, as it can run over 200 km / h when required.
VW Passat B8 is a popular used car!
If you feel inspired by the tuned Passat, you can buy a used B8 for relatively little money that has few kilometers down the road and is in good condition. Well-kept specimens are available for less than 20.000 euros, and if you want to tune your darling, there are also plenty of tuning parts to individualize it according to your wishes.
