Even the smallest one can look sporty! We talk of the VW UP (series VW120) the VW internally New Small Family is counted. In Europe it is the official successor to the Volkswagen Fox (type 5Z) but it definitely looks much more dynamic and fresher than its, but somewhat more conservative, predecessor. Speed-Box GmbH from Herten in North Rhine-Westphalia has taken on the small UP and shows what you can do with it. If we are correct, it is a normal VW UP (type AA) but the wheelset of the “Special Up” model was given. The wheel set got a white PinStripe which skillfully stages the rim work. While the special model is only available in the paint colors "Black Pearl" and "Savanna Gold" with color accents, the Speed-Box UP is painted in plain white.
⚠ H&R Monotube coilover kit ⚠
With the H&R Monotube coilover kit, the mini-VW was significantly lowered and at the rear it was given a duplex exhaust system from FOX which suggests that under the bonnet maybe the 115 PS three-cylinder in-line petrol engine of the one available from the beginning of 2018 1.0 GTI is installed. Apart from the lowering and the sports exhaust system, apparently nothing else has been changed on the VW UP so we leave you alone with the pictures at this point. 🙂 If we do get some information about important changes, there is of course an update for this post. The details of the changes to the VW UP:
- Lowering (H&R Montoube coilover kit)
- PinStripe on the rims
- darkened / tinted windows
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
- FOX sport exhaust system (right + left)
