Characteristic for the VW Golf GTI Clubsport are its aggressive appearance and the sporty interior. It is all the more important for the Hanover-based rim manufacturer and tuner YIDO PERFORMANCE (YIDO WHEELS GmbH) an honor to tailor a completely new look for the Wolfsburg jack-of-all-trades. But before we turn to the extremely eye-catching bikes, let's take a closer look at the test subjects tuned by YIDO. On the body - Front bumper and rear window wiper are cleaned - In addition to matching fender flares, a complete body kit was installed, consisting of front spoiler lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, and black / red VW emblems front and rear. 3
420 PS and 651 Nm torque
Engine and transmission were with an APR power increase Stage 2 + pushed to 420 PS (= 309 kW) and 651 Nm torque. The enormous leap in performance is made possible by an APR-DSG optimization, an APR carbon intake Stage 2 as well as a charge air cooler, turbo inlet, turbo outlet and one Oil catch can kit by APR. The 3-inch complete exhaust system with flap control from Remus is combined with a 3,5-inch downpipe including a 200-cell HJS metal catalyst and ensures a befitting soundscape. By the way, Leyo Engine Caps still need to be mentioned here. But now finally to the fantastically elaborate gear train. Forged 7.2-YIDO PERFORMANCE multi-parts in 9 × 20 inches with an ET45 and gold-brushed star including a polished bed are installed. the result is the ultimate rim for the GTi as we find it.
APR 6-piston performance braking system
Furthermore, an APR 6-piston performance brake system was installed. An abbreviated LuftfahrwAIRk (Variant 2 from KW to air including lintel dome bearings from zero bar) is controlled by an Accuair E-Level air management system. A touchpad of the same origin is attached to the center console with a custom-made - CNC-milled - bracket. The FahrwAIRk generates air using two compressors and the air tank is painted and wrapped in the same color as the vehicle. A carbon strut bar from Wiechers also catches the eye in the engine compartment. Further information on this ambitiously upgraded VW Golf GTI Clubsport is available directly from YIDO WHEELS GmbH. We do not currently have any more details about the eye-catching MK7 GTi from YIDO.
