Wunderlich cylinder head protection for the BMW R 1250 GS!

Wunderlich cylinder head protection for the BMW R 1250 GS and Adventure with original engine protection bar. The BMW R 1250 GS combines a thirst for adventure, unbridled power, reliability and state-of-the-art engine technology. No wonder it stands as a reference for an entire type of motorcycle. The heart of the GS is the 1250 ShiftCam boxer engine, which simply inspires with its power development, torque and revving ability. This is achieved with the ingenious design of the camshaft drive. Since the exposed valve covers are mounted exclusively with a force fit, there is a risk that they will move relative to the cylinder head if any force is used and, under certain circumstances, damage the expensive valve train.

Therefore, the additional protection of the cylinder head and the valve cover is of particular importance. Rockfall, branches, rock edges, a fall in the field or - worse - a fall, the valve covers of the ShiftCam-Boxer are quickly damaged, even if the original engine protection bar is installed. Scratches are the least of them. Especially in tough use. The Wunderlich technicians and designers had this scenario in mind when they defined the specification for the cylinder protection, which is integrated into the original engine protection bar. Of course, it should not only reliably protect the cylinder head and valve cover, but also give the original engine protection bar additional structural stability in order to offer maximum protection. The result that Wunderlich recently presented is convincing in every respect: The uncomplicated assembly of the high-quality aluminum protection system is directly and easily accessible on the original engine protection bar.

Solid four millimeter component thickness!

Solid four millimeter component thickness, the form-fitting, immovable fastening, which are each screwed twice with two clamps, these are convincing features for a robust and resistant construction. Wunderlich's design has three distinctive cutouts. They are used for ventilation and their characteristic dynamic shape, tapering flatter towards the rear, is seamlessly integrated into the concept. All of this combined forms a well thought-out and, in the truest sense of the word, comprehensive protection concept for the sensitive cylinder heads. Wunderlich produces the cylinder head protection either silver or black anodized. The cylinder head protection, which is manufactured in Germany, underlines Wunderlich's claim to always combine uncompromising functionality with integrated design. Wunderlich offers the cylinder head protection for the original engine protection bars of the BMW R 1250 GS and Adventure with a 5 year guarantee at a price of € 194,86 (incl. 16% VAT).
