KTM presents the new 890 ADVENTURE R model 2023!

For all those who dare the adventure, the new KTM 890 ADVENTURE R is now ready to overcome all hurdles - whether on the old paths or completely new paths. Featuring a range of technical upgrades, this redesigned version ushers in a new era with rally-inspired aesthetics and performance. The KTM 890 ADVENTURE R was developed with cues from KTM's pure READY TO RACE heritage to further enhance the bike's off-road performance, reliability and ability to take on any challenge. To demonstrate this, the bike was introduced to participants in the 2022 KTM Adventure Rider Rally in the diverse topography of western Idaho.

The redesigned KTM 890 ADVENTURE R was able to shine with its amazing capabilities in the heart of the Idaho mountains. Borrowing from the KTM 450 RALLY setting, the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R's WP suspension package has been retuned with a fully adjustable WP XPLOR fork and WP XPLOR PDS shock absorber to give a better feel and ensure that end-of-stage fatigue is eliminated does not prevail. Other influences of the KTM 450 RALLY can be seen in the revised bodywork with new fairing, new fuel tank and new casing.

These elements improve aerodynamics, ergonomics and protection from the elements as well as the bike's already fantastic agility. The new, lower windshield and the high front fender and engine guard of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R 2023 make it clear: This motorcycle is also ready for the most difficult terrain. The new 5" TFT display with USB-C connectors offers a completely new look, with colored pictograms and intuitive graphics that allow easy navigation of the menus. In addition, the latest upgrades include a sophisticated turn-by-turn navigation system that allows the driver to select their destination from recent destinations. The new calling feature also includes a favorites option with a maximum of 10 numbers and the ability to redial one of the last 10 numbers called.

Next generation ABS control unit

To take the software and hardware potential of the electronics to the next level, KTM has also equipped the bike with a next-generation ABS control unit. It reads values from the 6-D sensor, which continuously informs the CMU of the bike's angle, lean, speed and general behavior to deliver just the right amount of braking power in every situation. Riders who want to explore the bike's potential off the beaten track can count on OFFROAD ABS as an integral part of OFFROAD RIDING MODE. The OFFROAD ABS is also active in the optional RALLY DRIVE MODE without having to be selected. If the path widens and the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R is supposed to cover kilometers, the Edition 2023 offers comfort with the new one-piece seat (in new colors); at the same time, freedom of movement and slip resistance are ensured.

The new Mitas ENDURO TRAIL+ tire combo for the International and European versions offers additional wear resistance. American adventurers can also add LED turn signals to complement the revitalized 2023 model year graphics. KTM has used the improved electronics of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R to install a DEMO MODE, which will be premiered on the 2023 model. It enables riders of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R to use the full range of functions and options of the motorcycle for the first 1500 kilometers. Only then does the driver have to decide which packages or functions he wants to buy. Thanks to the DEMO MODE function, adventurers can put all systems through their paces in the middle of the hardest action and judge for themselves which features they like best.
