KTM presents the RC 8C model year 2023!

Technically revised and with a new design, she is at the starting line! Last year the KTM RC 8C - a handcrafted, highly specialized track motorcycle - was developed. For the 2023 model year, KTM has made a complete overhaul and incorporated feedback from KTM fans and racers. The new model has been redesigned and its specifications have been carefully honed to an even sharper READY TO RACE profile. The next generation of the KTM RC 8C offers other exciting updates in addition to a new paint finish and fine-tuning of the aero package.

KTM fans enthusiastically embraced the concept last year and KTM decided to raise the bar even higher for 2023. The 2023 model year features a radically redesigned LC8c engine specifically tuned for the racetrack, as well as a revised electronics package, even more weight savings and a range of high-end components that further boost the bike's competitiveness.

Performance, durability and sheer track performance were top priorities for the KTM R&D team on the 8 KTM RC 2023C. The increase of 7 hp to a maximum output of 135 hp at 11.000 rpm (and a torque of 98 Nm at 8250 rpm) was achieved with new, lighter titanium valves and connecting rods, as well as two piston rings (for better storage of the oscillating masses ), higher compression ratio, larger throttle body and stronger, higher pressure fuel pump. Higher clutch preload, elimination of the upper balancer shaft and an adjustment to the crankcase balancer shaft have increased durability and the addition of a PANKL oil cooler improves thermal stability.

The dry weight of the 8 model year KTM RC 2023C has been optimized to 142 kg and thanks to the outstanding agility of the CrMo4 steel frame, this prototype-feeling motorcycle can successfully outperform any superbike on the racing line. The bike could also be slimmed down with the brand new titanium exhaust system from Akrapovič and the razor-sharp feeling was further reinforced by the improved settings of the latest WP Pro Components. The WP XACT PRO fork and the WP APEX PRO shock absorber are now softer, which further optimizes comfort and rideability. Thanks to the sophisticated electronics, the KTM RC 8C 2023's traction control, mapping and engine braking can be precisely adjusted to the riding level (or ambition) of the rider.

Virtually everything is customizable on this race bike, from the adjustable steering head to the offset of the CNC-machined triple clamp, and from throttle response to the sharpness of the unrivaled Brembo Stylema calipers and RCS19 Corsa Corta master cylinder. The revised instrument cluster with GPS data logger shows the lap record attempts. Thanks to the riding modes derived from the KTM RC 16, the rider is in complete control. At the same time, the Quickshifter+ uses the reverse scheme to ensure racing suitability. The production takes place again in cooperation with Kramer Motorcycles.

The 8 KTM RC 2023C was developed for racing fans: winglets and aerodynamics come directly from the MotoGP™ programme, in which the KTM RC16 has managed to achieve seven Grands Prix victories in the premier class of two-wheel motorsport in just six years. This ensures more downforce and greater efficiency when accelerating and braking. Audiences and competitors alike will be impressed by the "speed" and "exclusivity" of the stunning black graphics - if it's even possible to catch a glimpse of the 8 model year KTM RC 2023C.

In order to be well prepared and to be able to start as quickly as possible, the official handover of the KTM RC 8C model year 2023 on April 26th will be celebrated with a very special "Track Day" for 30 customers at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. Anyone who secures a place according to the principle "first come first serve" can not only get advice from former Grand Prix drivers on the track, but also enjoy the support of a technician crew from KTM and WP Suspension in fine-tuning of the new bike. Accommodation, food and motorcycle transport from Austria to Spain and then to the local dealer are of course taken care of. The complete factory racing experience!
