May 2022: Search for the Hot Wheels Legend!

The German Hot Wheels Legends Tour is once again looking for the most individual and coolest vehicle to emerge victorious from the competition as the newest Hot Wheels die-cast car. This year, Hot Wheels, together with its partners Autobild, Sonax, RECARO Automotive, Falken Tires and Smyths Toys, is looking for vehicles based on the criteria of creativity, authenticity and "garage spirit". "Built not bought" is the motto of the tour, because in addition to the three main characteristics and the overall picture, Hot Wheels, Autobild and partners are primarily looking for heart, soul and passion.

• Registration is possible on autbild.de from May 05th to May 30th, 2022
• The German finals of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour Grand Finale 2022 will take place at the PS Days in Hanover from July 8th to 10th, 2022.
• The Hot Wheels Legends Tour winning car is recreated in 1:64 scale and is coming to the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends

Car lovers can apply at autobild.de/hot-wheels. After the application, each car is evaluated in detail by an expert jury consisting of Sophia Flörsch and Sidney Hoffmann, as well as the USA Hot Wheels Design Team and the fans. The three cars that meet the judging criteria will be invited to the live finale at PS Days in Hanover from July 8th to 10th. To increase fan interactivity, during PS Days the community will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite car on social media and through the Hot Wheels website, as well as at the event. The winner of the German Hot Wheels Legends Tour, to be announced at PS Days, will represent Germany at the international Hot Wheels Legends Tour Grand Finale in the USA and will be eligible for entry into the prestigious Hot Wheels Garage of Legends as a 1 scale model: 64, which will then hit store shelves around the world.

Briton Lee Johnstone was the Tour's first international winner in 1969 in his 1800 Volvo P2021 Gasser. He and his daughter, Victoria Upham, attended the global unveiling ceremony in New York City, where the family's passionate project was officially inducted into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends™, a collection of the brand's most iconic and celebrated designs presented both in scale 1:64 as well as in life size.
