New active formula, easy to use
The innovative active formula of the Caramba Power Protector made from high-quality carnauba wax in connection with special ceramic components is the result of intensive research. dr Till Böckermann, Development Manager OEM & Suppliers at Caramba, explains: "Our goal was to develop a paint seal that offers very strong protection and is quick and easy to apply. The natural product carnauba wax is one of the hardest waxes with which paintwork is optimally protected. Ceramic finishes, on the other hand, last longer, are more weatherproof and heat resistant, but are difficult for the end user to apply. That would normally have to be done in the workshop.” According to the expert, the Power Protector offers the same result, but is quick and easy to use – also for the end user.
How it works
The Caramba Power Protector increases the gloss level of the paint significantly and gives the colors new depth and radiance. It can be easily applied to the paintwork like wax with a microfiber cloth and then polished. The ceramic components of the Power Protector form a stable network on the paint and thus ensure a particularly smooth surface. This creates a long-lasting protective and water-repellent layer. The Caramba experts put the effect through its paces in the laboratory. Böckermann: "In a direct comparison with other paintwork sealants, the Caramba Power Protector came off as the best product." The tests also showed that it retained its full effectiveness for at least twelve months with an average of one wash per month.

When developing the product, the chemical specialist Caramba also relied on its expertise in the automotive sector. Hauke Schulz, Key Account Manager Caramba, explains: "The close cooperation with leading automobile manufacturers continuously provided us with important insights, which led to constant further development of the product and to a very high quality standard." Caramba brought Ralph Krüger on board to test Power Protectors. The recognized expert in the field of paint sealing is the owner of a company specializing in long-term refinement and is also known in the industry as the "paint whisperer".
