From the manufacturer Recaro is currently a FIA certified racing seat with street legal. It is called “Recaro Podium” and brings absolute racing to the streets in a legal manner. The Podium model is the first Recaro sports seat to be delivered with an FIA-certified approval. A real racing seat! It shows itself with a shell made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and according to Recaro it is the lightest variant in the entire segment with a weight of approx. 6 kilograms (including cover). The Podium model has both a triple belt opening in the backrest and openings for four-point sports belts, which can be used as Harness belts can be installed. But you can also use five or six point belts and even the HANS safety system can be combined with the podium. Different color and material combinations are made possible with the upholstery concept, with pads at the contact points between the body and the seat shell, so that the right look for the interior is ensured. The air can circulate between the channels of the pads and shell openings, so that the podium includes passive seat air conditioning. The Podium will be available for purchase from summer 2020 in two pad sizes (M and L). Recaro is thus defining a new category, “car seat racing shell with road approval”. And the Recaro Podium has even been awarded the AGR seal of approval by the “Healthy Back” campaign.
