The 27 ugliest cars in the world: a tour of strange designs!
Multiblyat

In the world of automotive design, there are some outstanding missteps that have gone down in history. This list of 27 ugliest cars in the world provides a glimpse into some of the strangest designs to ever see the light of day. Starting with the brand new one Multiblyat Amber, a product of collaboration between Avotor and Moscow Polytechnic University. The Russian electric car is characterized by its almost complete absence of corners and edges, which may be streamlined and efficient, but is rather less visually appealing. What is particularly striking is the height, which requires the use of running boards to get in. With its rounded shape, the amber is strongly reminiscent of the Fiat Multipla of the first generation, which itself is considered an icon of idiosyncratic design and was even exhibited in the New York Museum of Modern Art.

Another candidate on the list is the PGO Hemera, a French automobile that appears to have borrowed from a variety of models, including the New Beetle, Porsche, Mini and Smart Roadster. Despite the inspiration, the Hemera appears inharmonious with its angular rear and nostalgic, curved front. The Commuter Cars Tango T600 stands out due to its incredible power of 800 hp and 1400 Newton meters, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds. Despite the impressive numbers, the vehicle looks more like a “moving butt box”. Another unusual post is this Pontiac Aztec, which was originally intended to be the flagship car of a new generation, but quickly earned the title of the ugliest SUV of all time. The Aztek experienced a late revival as a cult object in the US series “Breaking Bad”, although it remained a commercial failure.

from the BMW 7 Series to the Subaru Casa Blanca

The Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible is an example of how combining old and new can backfire. Its retro chic and flashy radiator grille couldn't hide the boring overall design.

  • The BMW 7er (E65) from 2001 to 2005, designed by Chris Bangle, caused a stir with its unusual “tail bump” and “tear bags” that deviated far from BMW's traditional, straight lines.
  • The Ford Scorpio The second generation is characterized by a pompous silhouette inspired by the US market, which was in no way able to keep up with the more successful previous model.
  • The Nissan Micra CC, intended to appeal specifically to women, ended up as a design flop. Its rounded shape and the tin roof convertible design made it something of a laughing stock.
  • The Nissan S Cargo is a curiosity that represents a snail on four wheels, complete with just 73 horsepower, making it appropriately slow.
  • The SsangYong Rodius is another example of an inharmonious design in which no sheet metal part seems to fit any other.
  • The Subaru Casa Blanca, based on the Impreza, features a baroque grille and overly large lamps that don't fit with the sober styling.

At the end there is the picture gallery of horror

Other ugly vehicles on this list include the Subaru Libero, Daihatsu Materia, Suzuki Vitara X-90, Opel Corsa, Alfa SZ, Nissan Juke, Smart Fortwo, Nissan cube, Suzuki Wagon R +, Renault Mégane, Nissan S Cargo, Ford Scorpio, Fiat Coupe, Renault Wind and the Nissan Micra C+C. Each features a design that deviates from the norm in some way. Although some of them could be praised for their practical aspects, such as the Subaru Libero with its incredible space in just 3,53 meters long, they have nevertheless been included in the list of the world's ugliest cars due to their unusual and often unattractive appearance.
