Aston Martin has recently announced that it will produce new components for important classic vehicles such as the DB4, DB5, DB6 and some V8 models from the 1960s and 70s. The company is again producing mechanical components such as engine blocks, cylinder heads and even a new transmission for the British classics. All new components correspond to the former manufacturer's specifications and they even come with a certificate that reveals the origin of the spare parts. The process is partly handled by Continuation Car Program from Aston Martin. However, the company had to develop complex new tools in order to be able to produce components for vehicles such as the DB5 Goldfinger or the DB4 GT Zagato in OEM quality again.

But the development of the tools is now done and with it Aston Martin has also directly opened up a lucrative source of income, since new parts for original vehicles are in great demand. And they even worked with ZF to develop a transmission that matched the original specification. According to Aston Martin, this is the first time a new transmission will be available since the early 1970s. If we receive timely information on other planned components for Aston classics, there will of course be an update for this report.
