The second generation of the Audi A3 sedan has been on the market for some time. In contrast to the European models, the specimens for China were lengthened by about 10 centimeters. They bear the model designation A3L. And some of the vehicles of the second generation of the limo, which has the factory code 8Y, have already been modified and refined. And today we would like to introduce you to such a specimen. It makes its rounds in China and has been modified by the owner with every trick in the book.

The standard is the A3L sedan not necessarily spectacular, however GF Performance from China has put things right by having a bodykit installed, which draws everyone's attention. Pronounced side skirts, modified front and rear bumpers and a CDM- more typical Ducktail spoiler, which is finished in black to ensure a contrast to the white exterior paint finish, cause a stir on the compact notchback sedan.
Stacked fake exhaust pipes with a look not dissimilar to that of the Lexus IS-F are the highlight of the A3L. Furthermore, a rear diffuser adorns the compact sedan and ensures a sporty look. There is also a lowering by means of Airride chassis and MMX rims with drop center optics, which in our opinion appear harmonious with their double-spoke design. An S3 lettering is supposed to suggest to the driver behind that this is a 310 hp car, but that is not the case, because the vehicle is a "civilian" A3L.
No information about the engine!
All we can say is that it's not the 2-litre, 310bhp turbocharged petrol engine. We do not know whether there is a 1,4 liter TSI or a 2 liter TSI under the hood. The power is most likely transmitted via a 7-speed DSG, since there is no manual gearbox available for the A3L on the Chinese market. In addition, only the front wheels are driven.
Our conclusion:
- An extraordinary body kit that turns the unspectacular Audi A3L sedan into an arsonist. We like to see that. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
