You'd like to think that the Ford Ranger is a pick-up ex works that can get through everywhere and doesn't really have to be additionally prepared for off-road use! The name alone somehow obliges you to be close to nature and that's exactly what Ford wants to present with the 2016 model year. Massive, long-legged and with a grim look comes the over 5,30m long and easily 1,86m wide projectile with 3,2l five-cylinder. The team at currently shows us in a spectacular way that the Ranger can still be modified enormously Autobot Autoworks Off-Road in the far away Philippines. They have adopted a Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.2L and modified it to the absolute off-road animal.

The whole project is called PYRO and hardly leaves anything behind from the standard Ranger. Particularly noticeable is of course the extremely huge off-road wheel set, which consists of new aluminum rims and oversized tires with a coarse profile. So that the wheels fit into the wheel arch at all, there was an extreme lift and an extensive MCC rocker bar widebody kit that changes almost all body components. The body kit includes massive front and rear bumpers (front with large tow hooks, LED daytime running lights, ram protection), attached fender flares with exposed screw connections, large running boards to even reach the cabin, and a new bonnet with a huge power dome.

In order for the ranger to be able to drive through deep waters, the intake was also laid over the windshield, thereby completing the huge roof structure including its phenomenally large LED auxiliary lights. Other changes include a modified cargo area including countless LED headlamps, black taillights, new headlamps with a painted inlay, a color painted gasoline canister with bracket, crash protection attachments for the doors, additional lighting for the underbody and the wheel arches and completely darkened windows all around. To what extent an increase in performance of the engine was made or whether a sports exhaust system is installed, we can not say at the current time however.

But what we can say for sure is that this conversion is one of the most powerful based on a Ford Ranger and the project vehicles like that Delta 4 × 4 Ranger, from MC-car design or also from M-Sport casually puts you in the shade. • darkened / tinted windows all around
• possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
• possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
