Another Bentley branch is currently being built in our neighboring country, the Netherlands. In addition to the new location in Rotterdam, Bentley already has branches in Maastricht and Leusden. Nice to see how successful the two branches have been for over 10 years. We're also pleased with how well Bentley has managed to hold its own against the competition and stay in the market. And as part of the Rotterdam reopening and the Dutch sales anniversary, there was something really extraordinary to look at recently: Pon Luxury Cars BV sent the so-called "unifying track' through the streets of Amsterdam. And the work of art on four wheels is more than just a custom design of the "Flying Spur".
Bentley "Unifying Spur"
The entire construction, which comes from designer and hobby artist Rich Morris, is in the nine colors the so-called Progress Pride flag held. The continuous lettering "Love is Love" connects faces and dancing figures who celebrate together peacefully, regardless of categories such as ethnicity, gender or faith. This work of art symbolizes the unifying power of humanity, which exists despite or precisely because of its diversity. The brightly colored sedan has been around for a year. Bentley wanted to use it to draw the public's attention to its reorientation. The company had previously decided to increase diversity in the area of leadership/human resource management to 2025 percent by 30.
The drive is secondary!
Unfortunately, we were not able to solve the mystery of the technology hidden in the colorful work of art. Whether it's the V8 with 550 hp, the twelve-cylinder with 635 hp or even the environmentally friendly plug-in hybrid with 544 hp - the drive remains Bentley's secret. But with this special automobile, the focus is ultimately not on the technical data, but on its symbolism. However, one last question remains: Why was the presentation actually held in the capital? Given the occasion, wouldn't Rotterdam have been the obvious choice here? If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
