What was that for a debut 2012! After years of abstinence, Audi and Mercedes-Benz joined BMW as another manufacturer in the DTM. The A5 DTM and the DTM AMG C-Coupe got to do with the M3 DTM. And with Bruno Spengler at the wheel, there was for the BMW team Carver in the first year, the drivers' standings in an M3 DTM. Until 2016, the M4 DTM was followed by either the drivers', team's overall or both titles. And especially the M3 Limo has apparently done the Austrian Niko Dujsik (Vienna). He has his Yas Marina Blue painted specimen converted into a M3 in DTM outfit by Bruno Spengler. Above all, of course, the matte black Vollfolierung the from the guys of cool-tints.com Vehicle wrapping was applied. But not only that.
BMW F80 M3 sedan with Airride
The body received lots of aerodynamic components whose highlight is certainly the APR Performance GTC 300 rear wing is on custom feet. It comes from the Custom Engineering Koltay (CEK) team and ensures a lot of contact pressure. There is also a striking rear diffuser from PSM Dynamic and the front spoiler with splitter and the side skirts are from PSM. The diffuser encloses a complete Akrapovic exhaust system with downpipes that has a BMS flap control. And the carbon apron inserts from the M Performance portfolio are only visible at second glance. And of course there would be the fantastic wheelset.
20 inch Rotiform RSE rims on the M3
Here, Niko installed a set of RSE rims from the Rotiform shelf, which impress with a filigree cross-spoke design and rim beds in a neo-chrome finish. The rim star is classic matt black and comes with an indicated octagonal nut on the hub caps. The exact dimensions of the rims are 9,5 x 20 inches on the front axle and a huge 11 x 20 inches at the rear. The low profile tires measure 235 and 265 mm. And so that the wheelset sits consistently and with millimeter precision in the wheel arch, of course, it had to be lowered. Nothing else is installed here than an air suspension with struts from HP Drivetech.
The chassis comes with an e-level control unit and two Accuair ENDO tanks that can be found in the trunk with Plush Automotive hardlines. And the interior is also reminiscent of DTM motorsport. There is a DTM-M4 steering wheel, from the M4 GTS the OEM Schroth racing belts with Recaro pole position seats and lots of elements made of carbon. A Pleie roll bar and a fire extinguisher are also on board to protect the occupants. There were hardly any changes under the bonnet. Here Niko only installs an Eventuri Air Intake System to supply the R6 BiTurbo with some additional fresh air.
