Somewhere in the currently very sunny and far away China (Chiayi, Republic of China on Taiwan) sits the team of EDO tuning and shows us again and again that vehicles modified in China do not have to be beyond European taste. The best example is this BMW F30 335i sedan that was released on the tuner's timeline yesterday. However, the conversion rightly raises the question of whether a "real" F80 M3 sedan would not have been the better choice !?
The reason is that you have decided on an extremely extensive tuning and especially the components used in total, including the F30 and the work done, are hardly less devoured than a "real" M3. In front there was a high-quality carbon front spoiler including carbon air intakes in the bumper which as far as we know from the manufacturer Future Design and visually reminiscent of the optional M Performance Parts.
The black kidneys come from the BMW accessories and the highlight is of course the M3 Style bonnet including the striking Powerdome. It continues with a completely modified chassis because the 335 was significantly lowered by means of KW coilovers of the 3 variant and in the wheel arches now 20 inch large Vorsteiner VFF-103 aluminum wheels in matt black. If you look closely you can also recognize a modified brake system and here it was decided for components from Brembo.
Specifically, this means that the front axle is equipped with floating 400 mm discs, which are clamped in place by an 6 piston system. Rear there are 380 mm discs and a four-piston system. And at the rear there is a lot to see because here convinced the 335i with a FI Exhaust sports exhaust system in original M3 optics which is surrounded by a sporty carbon rear diffuser. In addition, there is still a discreet spoiler lip for the tailgate.
Nice details like that Autotecknic carbon mirror caps or the completely darkened discs round off the visual appearance impressively. But under the bonnet and in the interior it continued with extensive tuning. An Arma Carbon Air-Intake system, an EVO2 intercooler from Wagner, a stylish new engine cover or the US GIAC STAGE 2 chip tuning were installed. The interior was upgraded with an original M3 leather steering wheel, tons of carbon and chic components from the optional M Performance catalog.
You can not do more with the 335i sedan and moreover there is hardly the possibility to invest more money. Apart from the non-widened fenders, this conversion is hardly distinguishable from a real M3. If we get more details about the changes, there is, of course, an update for this report.
