Whimsical 2002 BMW Sbarro XX5 for sale!

The Swiss tuner Frank Sbarro and his tuning company is known (or notorious) for particularly wild designs. And that clearly includes that Sbarro XX5 based on the BMW X5 of the first generation (E53). As far as we know, only two vehicles were built and one of them can now be bought. Namely in Switzerland and for the proud price of 49.900 SF (approx. €51.000). The Sbarro XX5 celebrated its premiere in 2002 at the Geneva Motor Show and is therefore 20 years old. At that time, one vehicle was exhibited in silver at the motor show and one was also built in black. And this one is just about Servant Automobiles offered for sale. The pre LCI X5 comes with a completely new Front, which reminds us a bit of an unfinished prototype. The classic kidney is of two Humps covered and the headlights are replaced by six round lenses. There was a questionable one front apron, which is perfect for the equally questionable bonnet fits.

Next are the front ones fender a bit wider, which is why the factory plastic wheel covers are missing. And while the side section is otherwise unchanged, there is also a new one at the rear bumper to see. This is combined with four tailpipes. There were no significant changes in the Cabin or the technique. Even if that's us Suspension seems a bit strange with the wedge shape. According to the sales ad, the X5 was built in June 2002 and has done 140.700 km since then. By the way, the standard one works under the hood in the Sbarro XX5 4,4 liter V8 petrol engine with 286 hp. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
