Fantastic: 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air with 640 hp as a restomod!

Finally none Mustang and neither Camaro! This Restomod conversion based on one Chevy Bel Air from the year 1954. Info: Who the term Restomod If you are not familiar with it, here is a brief explanation. It's a relatively new term in the tuning scene, as a combination of the words RESTauration and MODEifications (restration/againstidentification). Specifically, this is a tuning style that tries to change the basic look of a classic vehicle only slightly, but at the same time to implement as much modern technology as possible in the vehicle. In other words, under the hood there is usually a much more modern engine and the chassis and the materials in the interior are almost always from the present. With this type of tuning, the vehicle remains classic at first glance, but the new components can be clearly felt at the latest when you step on the gas pedal or in a fast corner. A restomod often has driving characteristics that are comparable to modern vehicles. There is more about that HERE!

1954 Chevrolet Bel Air

And one of the best-known tuners in this segment is the United States-based company "Retro style". Specifically, you are in the state North Carolina resident. The one there Boss of Restomods is the classic car specialist Daniel Valjevac and that's exactly who now has a brand new one tuning project set up at a cost of $350.000. As already mentioned, the basis for the conversion was one in need of restoration Chevrolet Bel Air from 1954, the one after modification looks phenomenal from every angle. And we particularly like the fact that the extensive Restomod project was based on a Bel Air. This is a step away from the restomod mishmash based on Mustang or Camaro, and even in the Bel Air vehicle segment you are in a different way niche. Because if anything, then it is the vehicles from the period 1955 to 1957 that are often used for such projects. But Valjevac wanted a coupé of the first Bel Air generation rebuild.

LT4 V8 engine with a whopping 640 hp

The unique piece still has the well-known design, but at second glance there are quite a few subtle ones Revisions to the body to see. For example, are the purse and the radiator grill changes. Also, something is missing all around Chrome trim versus the series. And the difference under the hood is really clear. That's where it sits sky blue painted Bel Air a modern LT4 V8 engine with plenty 640 PS. The engine enjoys a Cold air intake, a lower one ATI 9.17 pulley and other changes, In addition, the team built a 8L90 eight-speed automatic from General Motors and the necessary braking power comes via four large Disc brakes behind chromed Boze custom alloy wheels.

The unique piece is also on one Custom chassis and has one Smart Air suspension (Airride) installed. Finally there was Tubes in the format 245/35/20 and 345/30/20, a new one Exhaust System with oval tailpipes and a completely new one Interior.
