Street Rod - 1929 Ford Model A with GM V8 engine!

Hard to believe that this vehicle is one of the predecessor of the currently huge pickups in the form of F, Chevrolet Silverado or Dodge Ram is. But it is so! The almost cute looking 1929 Ford Model A as a Street Rod conversion was then what they are nowadays + 2,5-ton XXL truck are. And the current Ford pickup trucks have long been leaders in the segment. The competition is catching up, but Ford does not give up the throne without a fight and is currently showing with the new one 2020 F-150s why they have been successfully building cars with cargo beds for 103 years. As early as 1917, the carmaker recognized the potential of the Model T and set about creating something that would work more than just for passenger transport.

This was the official birth of the Ford TT. Quite a strange creation, only available as a Chassis was built and delivered with a "buyer" Body got married. Complete vehicles built ex works did not exist until the mid-1920s. From the few TT units in 1917 to nearly 1 million F-Series pickups in 2019, it has been a long way. But Ford did it. And of course that has a large part in the success Model A. And we're pretty sure if every vehicle had looked like this, then we would have sold 2 million vehicles by now. But unfortunately none of the built Model A pickups from the factory looked like this one. The vehicle is one from 1928-1931 and it just became one not known Price sold. But of course this one-off was not cheap, that goes without saying.

The structure is based on a typical Street rod style, with the 5,3-liter V8 from GM (327 ci) complete exposed has been. Everyone should see right away what is going on between the upright cooler and the Cabin is located. Namely a fundamentally rebuilt V8 with a powerful sidepipe sports exhaust system on the right and left as well as a lot Chromium. In the cabin there was a modern and heated one Bench and everything is to it with light Manager lined. The redesigned dashboard shows classic Round instruments and beyond that is also a beautiful one Three-spoke steering wheel to see with leather cover. Of course everything is reduced to the essentials, Racing Harnesses but still not missing. And since it is a convertible, the top is also completely new. And of course we don't want to forget the beautiful ones Wire spoke wheels with Whitewall tires.

Behind the cabin with only two seats there is a small one load area with wood paneling and the side walls are even completely painted on the inside. In general, the body is of course from the ground up restauriert and with new paint overdrawn. The chassis got an elaborate one revision with Lowering und auch das Transmission up to the built-in electronics is in the state of one New car. An absolutely unique piece that we will probably never see again. Because often such vehicles disappear in some well-heated one Garages along with other classics. Pity!
