It's been a good 6 weeks since Shelby American gave the brand new 2021 Shelby Ford F-150 pickup truck presented to the world public. In addition to a violent Performance increase on 785 PS there was also a completely redesigned one Suspension for even more off-road suitability. And now the American manufacturer and tuner is bringing the Super Snake as a variant "Sports" with a focus on roadworthiness. And that should have the performance of a Shelby Mustang and therefore starts Auch with a single cabin. And because of the longer loading area, it can even transport more plywood, bricks and other rubbish than the off-roader with Shelby genes from the link above. And once the goods are loaded, it can annoy a Porsche, Lamborghini or Ferrari by the way.
Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport
Like the off-road version, the “Sport” also has one 5,0 liter supercharged Coyote V8 under the hood with those already mentioned 785 PS (775 HP) thanks to additional charging, a new air intake system made of carbon, heat exchanger, throttle valve and injection nozzles, which makes the XXL truck in combination with the factory all-wheel drive in insane 3,45 seconds catapulted at highway speed. Reminder: a Ferrari 430 Scuderia, a Jaguar F-Type SVR, a Porsche Carrera GT or a BMW M4 GTS need for this discipline longer.
Even one Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid or a Lamborghini Governance are only 0,1 second faster. And the acceleration increases with increasing pace not really off. Because already after 8,3 seconds is the sound barrier of 160 km/h broken through. And so that the power comes so consistently on the road, Shelby has a new super snake sport Ridetech chassis with adjustable Fox shock absorbers front and rear, new wishbones, coupling rods and stabilizers, and of course those too Bremsanlage appropriately adapted. The colossus is now being delayed by means of 6-piston brake front and rear there were improved ones Brake pads and discs. The brake is installed behind alloy wheels with a chrome look in 22 inch format including sports tires.
And inside - what is there?
The pickup shows a two-tone one Leather seats and various carbon applications and embroidery in the headrests. Next they have Instruments To show the signature of the legendary company founder and also tinted windows and new floor mats are part of it. Everything is rounded off with metal pedals and various badges and tablets with the model name and serial number.

And then there is the phenomenal soundscape. The befitting V8 sound is achieved by means of Borla performance sports exhaust system released into the environment with two fist-sized tailpipes and - especially when starting the engine - one or the other passerby flinches. And the body? The typical Stripes, an apron attachment with larger air intakes, a front splitter, a new radiator grille and bonnet with air scoop, fender flares painted in body color including air outlets, four-part rocker panels and painted exterior mirror covers and door handles.
At the rear, a loading area cover and a rear apron attachment complete the visual modifications. Unfortunately the new F-150 Super Snake (whether as a Regular Cab two-door or as a four-door with an extended cab) not easy to get at your local dealer. The Shelby F-150 Super Snake is supposed to be on 300 vehicles per cabin type limited and will probably sell out quickly.
The prices of $98.690 for the two-door Sport or the $113.680 for the four-door model are unlikely to play a role. The F-150 base car in XLT or XL trim is leftover there.
