1967 Ford Shelby GT350 Coupe with V8 as Restomod!

This Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Fastback from 1967 looks completely original, but is actually no Production vehicle and not even an original Shelby. The vehicle was made by the team from Motor City Grind in Royal Oak, Michigan, professionally designed as a striking homage to the original. According to Garage Kept Motors it is in exactly the same pristine condition as a Shelby left the factory back then. Only now in the wake of the restoration still various modifications Have found their way. The vehicle was only completed a few months ago and since then the classic has only run 520 km. The homage to the original '67 Shelby GT350 is as historic as possible, but at the same time it is equipped with the performance of a modern sports car.

The highlights include painting in Brittany Blue with cool white stripes, there was a revised one Suspension (with front thread adjustment), a contemporary one Bremsanlage from Wilwood and overall a successful mix of old and new, for which, according to the builder, “spared no effort or expense" became. As always, the highlight is the drive. There's a lot going on under the long hood 408ci (6,7 liter) -V8 from Tri Star Engines, the stately one 460 PS generated. The motor is coupled to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission with hydraulic clutch and on the road the power comes from a Ford nine-inch rear with 3:73 gears and 17 inch GT9 rims.

Incidentally, the engine is coupled to a custom-made 2,5 inch (6,35 cm) Stainless steel exhaust system with tailpipes on the right and left. But of course the entire vehicle is anything but cheap.
