It shouldn't be new that Australians love supercharged V8 engines. And that's why the team at Holden Special Vehicles (short: HSV) maybe soon a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with compressor kit for down under ready. Apparently, a small series is planned especially for the current Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ models and only specifically for sales in Australia as right-hand drive vehicles. HSV will probably carry out the conversion of the vehicles in Melbourne and will upgrade the 6,2-liter V8-L87 vacuum cleaner with 420 HP and 625 NM torque as a special edition to a mighty 670 HP and 850 NM torque.
approx. 670 HP and 850 NM torque
In addition, there are various improvements to the chassis so that the performance increase can also be converted into propulsion according to the species. The charged Silverado is to be sold exclusively in Australia and as a powerful one Ute conquer the market. However, all information is so far not really official yet. The current Silverado 1500 LTZ costs approx. 113.990 Australian dollars without HSV tuning and is likely to become significantly more expensive with the conversion.
