It is always refreshing to see that not only mass-produced cars, hundreds of thousands of which drive around the streets of this world, are tuned, but also exotic ones that you do not necessarily expect in the tuning scene. One such vehicle is the Infiniti Q50, a sporty mid-range sedan that achieved high sales figures in the USA and Asia, but was an absolute wallflower in Germany and Europe. In general, the Infiniti brand is as good as not represented on the European market, which is why the management of the Renault-Nissan group, to which Infiniti belongs, has probably decided to take the brand off the market in Western Europe. Thus, the ambitious plan to compete with established competition customers has unfortunately fizzled out on the European market after just a few years, and the Japanese are retreating. Nonetheless, the luxury brand will of course continue to be represented in China and the USA, as it is successful there.
This Infiniti is a tuning exotic.
Of course we have found a tuned copy of an Infiniti Q50 for you, which is based in China, and this shows that the premium sedan is quite suitable as a tuning object. Paired with lowering, the Rays G27 rims in 19-inch format, behind the yellow-painted brake calipers with Infiniti lettering, look very classy, and the carbonfront spoiler underlines the sporty aspirations of the noble Japanese. The gray paintwork and the black painted radiator grille also match the athletic appearance of the limo. In addition, the brand emblem was painted black at the front and completely removed from the trunk lid. At the rear, only the “Infiniti” lettering above the license plate remains legible, and a small spoiler lip in carbon look and a black diffuser have been attached, which clearly increases the sportiness of the rear view.
Diffuser and two thick exhaust pipes
The diffuser is flanked by two thick exhaust pipes, which are probably still standard. It seems to be straight fashionable, but in our opinion the various stickers on the front and rear windows and on the rearmost left side window are not necessary. Somehow they may not fit the middle class sedan with premium standards. The tinted rear lights, on the other hand, fit extremely well into the overall concept and harmonize perfectly with the sporty look of the car. At an open-brand tuning meeting, it would certainly attract a lot of attention, because you don't see a tuned Infiniti every day.
Almost nothing has been changed under the hood.
Except one Domstrebe Nothing was changed by Cusco in the engine compartment and the performance remained standard. This means that the 3,7-liter V6 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, which produces 328 hp and 365 Newton meters of maximum torque, has not been tuned. The engine, which also works in a modified form in the Nissan 370 Z, catapults the Infiniti Q50 to 100 km / h in less than six seconds and offers sufficient power reserves in every situation. Regardless of whether you want to cruise with it, or to chase established premium opponents back and forth, the Infiniti can do both.
Hardly available on the used car market.
