We're sure: more is not possible! Anyone looking for modifications for a Land Rover Defender will come to the tuner Kahn design and the subsidiary Chelsea Truck Company definitely not over. The team around Afzal Kahn from London proves for years that nothing is impossible. And especially for the beginning of tomorrow Geneva Motor Show 2018 (8 to 18, March) The tuner has brought an ultimate Defender conversion with three axes. The idea is not completely new with this Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6 × 6 Vision, the Pickup Concept Car and the virtual variant 6 × 6 Soft Top the company has already shown several times that you can nail your head at any time and know what you are doing.
But now Kahn Design has managed to revise the extended 6 × 6 variant to perfection and give it the opportunity to transport 9 people. The masterpiece is called "Flying Huntsman 6 × 6 Civilian Carrier" and in our opinion is on par with the Hennessey Velociraptor 6 × 6 or even wrong BRABUS B63S 700 6X6. The vehicle has been completely changed and has practically nothing in common with the series. We have often seen the elegant "Volcanic Rock" paintwork that the Civilian also brings along, but it is far from the highlight. And the new bumpers including LED headlights, the X-Lander front grille or the widenings for the fenders are not.
The highlight is the fact that this Defender has been extended by a whopping 88 centimeters and thereby measures over 5,60 m. By the way, the third axle is of course given to him and, like the other two axles, these are equipped with 18 inch Huntsman alloy wheels fitted with Cooper LTZ 275 / 55 tires. And of course, the third axle is not a fake, it is powered by and also has a differential lock and improves the terrain characteristics so clearly again.
The extended body comes with a classy panoramic roof that extends from the B-pillars to the rear and if you see this vehicle it is hard to believe that Land Rover is not responsible for it. Everything looks like a one-stop shop and is especially manufactured in terms of the processing quality in the OEM standard. Beautiful details such as the high-quality running boards for climbing the cabin are only visible at second glance and show exactly how the Kahn design did not just build on it. And of course that also applies to the completely redesigned interior.
Whether elegant chrome steering wheel, completely leather-covered headliner, the super chic 9 seats even have amenities such as an extendable thigh support or the fully integrated navigation system, everything is of the highest quality and convinces immediately. For us, the 6X6 CIVILIAN CARRIER FROM CHELSEA TRUCK COMPANY is definitely one of the highlights at the Geneva Motor Show and certainly the conversion should meet with a lot of popularity.
