Legacy Overland 1993 Land Rover Defender Restomod!

Can you still remember the Toyota FJ40 Restomod with 5,7 liter V8 from the tuner Legacy overland recall? We presented the classic to you at the beginning of March and showed what the guys from “LO” are capable of. And now we have another spectacular vehicle for you that was set up by Legacy Overland. The base this time is a Land Rover Defender from 1993 which is completely restored and in British Racing Green has painted. There were also glossy black painted wheel arch extensions all around, the steel bumpers, the front bumper and the side skirts are also black and there were new headlights at the front and rear (Xenon technology at the front, LED technology at the rear) as well as a few additional rally lights on the bull catcher.

The Defender was also placed on black 16-inch steel rims and fitted with 265/75 BFGoodrich off-road tires. And of course, with even more contemporary components, we have ensured that the classic has become a real “Restomod” vehicle. And the most important feature is the drive. But surprisingly, unlike many other tuners, they don't use a V8, but leave it with the 200 Tdi 2,5-liter four-cylinder. The engine is, however, extensively overhauled (with Garrett turbocharger etc.) and therefore enjoys the full 108 hp and 255 Newton meters of torque. The rest is typically Restomod with a modern touch, which should make life more pleasant, especially in the cockpit. The base as the D110 (long version) Defender was given an interior with beige and “vegan” leather with a diamond pattern and green accents.

The leather interior runs completely over the dashboard, the door panels, all seats up to the fairly wide center armrest that every Defender brings. The headlining is also completely covered with Alcantara and a total of 9 people can look forward to the luxurious interior. In addition to the driver and front passenger, the second row offers space for three people and another four people can sit in the rear compartment on the inward-facing seats. However, the two benches are more intended for children and certainly not suitable for long distances. And the technology in the spacious cabin only becomes apparent at a second glance.

Sony infotainment with Apple CarPlay

The most important components here are, for example, electric windows that have the seats mentioned, seat heating and air conditioning is now installed. The navigation and sound system are controlled via Sony infotainment with Apple CarPlay and a reversing camera, and various USB connections, speakers from Pioneer and new displays with dials with a classic white background are now included. A great vehicle that should give the owner many years of pleasure and is of course a one-off.
