Many of you may have never heard of the Lynk & Co. brand, which belongs to the Geely Group. It is a sister brand of Volvo, and the vehicles from Lynk & Co. are all on newly developed Volvo platforms, and are powered by the same engines as the current models of the Swedes. For technical marketing reasons, this brand was developed for a young target group who may or may not yet be able to afford a Volvo, but who would like to drive something cooler and sportier than a Geely. This concept has worked so far, as the Chinese models are enjoying steadily growing popularity on the home market. It should only be a matter of time before Lynk & Co. is officially offered in Europe, because the first prototypes have already been spotted in Romania and Sweden.

At first glance, this copy of the Lynk & Co. 02 looks like a slightly higher compact from the look of a VW Golf, but this is only the case because it has been lowered so extremely that it is hardly known that it is actually is an SUV. The standard ground clearance of the 4,45 m long, 1,89 m wide and 1,53 m high SUV is actually a good 20 cm. In gray, which is extremely trendy at the moment, and equipped with black high-gloss alloy wheels that house red brake calipers, it looks very professionally tuned, and the flared fenders also go very well with the sporty character of the China SUV. At the rear, an extremely sporty diffuser immediately catches the eye, which is flanked by two upper-arm exhaust pipes. Last but not least, 255 mm tires were fitted on the front axle and even 285 mm tires on the rear axle. We think that all in all it is a very successful tuning.
The interior was changed only marginally.
In the already sporty interior, not too much has been changed, just a few red decorative stitching on the door panel and on the steering wheel. Otherwise, the cockpit is virtually unchanged from the series and it is no coincidence that it is strongly reminiscent of current Volvo models, as Lynk & Co., as already mentioned above, is a sister brand of Volvo and also belongs to the Geely Group.
Nothing has changed in terms of engine technology.
The all-wheel drive variant of the Lynk & Co. 02 is powered by a 2-liter turbo gasoline engine with 190 hp and 300 Newton meters of maximum torque. Equipped in this way, the Chinese sprints from 8 to 0 km / h in 100 seconds and reaches a top speed of 205 kilometers per hour. The power is transmitted via a six-stage automatic with manual intervention mode and the power-to-weight ratio is an acceptable 8,32 kg / PS. This allows you to step on the gas a little more on the autobahn, and also put the cool and sporty look into action by proving your sportiness while driving.
Basic vehicle - inexpensive alternative to established compact SUVs
Anyone who is interested in this vehicle should be told that the Lynk & Co. 02 costs around 28.000 euros if you want to bring it to Germany as a gray import.
