Mercedes-AMG GT Silver Echo - Render of a successor to the SLR Stirling Moss!

After the recent death of Sir Stirling Moss, the designer Costas Phouphoullides, Thoughts about a successor to the legendary "Stirling Moss“-Mercedes SLR made. The Silver echo baptized model could be a worthy successor to the model presented in 2009, which was only built 75 times and had to do without a roof or windscreen. While the original model was based on the Mercedes SLR, the one named by the designer Silver Echo, rendered Successor on the platform of the current Mercedes-AMG GT.

Speedster design with an aggressive look

Just like its legendary predecessor, the Silver Echo dispenses with a roof and a windscreen, which would make helmets compulsory if Mercedes-Benz decided to put the rendering into practice, and again a small series as a tribute to Sir Stirling Moss would bring. The design of the Silver Echo is much more aggressive, edgy and sporty than that of the more rounded one SLR Stirling Moss. With its continuous strip of lights at the rear and the extremely narrow front headlights, the new one is more reminiscent of a Lamborghini than a Mercedes. In direct comparison, the old SLR "Stirling Moss" looks very tame, almost staid and conventional. It can be assumed that a new edition in the design of the Silver Echo would be sold out immediately if it ever came.

Interior in typical Mercedes design

Not all of the interior can be seen on the renderings, but what you see seems very familiar if you have a reference to the Mercedes-Benz brand. The designer has not experimented on this point, but it is clear to see that the focus is on driving, because things like an infotainment system and other comfort features are not present in the design designs. The predecessor's two-seater concept remains, but the renderings show a right-hand drive version for Great Britain, the home country of the legendary Sir Stirling Moss.

Four-liter AMG V8 biturbo would be the right drive

According to the rendering, the same engine that powers the Mercedes-AMG GT should power the new Silver Echo. However, this engine should have significantly more horsepower and torque than the most powerful expansion stage to date, because this car should represent the best that Mercedes has to offer on this side of the AMG Project One. The slogan "The best or nothing“More fitting than this homage to one of the greatest racing drivers of all time.

A priceless collector's car

Should there actually be a small series production of the Silver Echo to honor the late Sir Stirling Moss posthumously, as already mentioned above, this car would be sold out in no time. The price of such a baby is likely to be in the seven-digit range, and only select customers should be able to enjoy the possible dream car should it ever go into series production. A lottery procedure like a Ferrari Enzo or a Ford GT would also be worthy of this automobile if it were to be ready for the solvent clientele to pre-order. For all lovers of sporty automobiles there is of course also a small picture gallery at the end of the article.
