With this classic 1964 Chevrolet C10 you can snack on a current athlete! Quite similar to that Level 7 Motorsports Chevrolet C10 RaceCar from the beginning of the month, this example is also equipped with a powerful V8 engine under the hood. And he too was tuned from St Johns Ln (near Baltimore, Maryland) and has already won some prizes. Workshop owner Vaughn built the 1964 C10 for one of his customers. It was presented on the “United By Trucks” YouTube channel about a week ago. It stands on a no-limit accessory chassis and is powered by a 6,2l LS3 V8. The modern engine transmits the power to huge 335 slippers at the rear of the pickup and is coupled to a manual T56 six-speed gearbox.
Cab with a rusty patina look
In the factory state, the LS3 engine already produces an impressive 430 hp, which has now grown to a good 500 hp thanks to a sharp camshaft, revised CNC cylinder heads and individual engine control units with suitable software. The body is kept discreet and partly has a rusty patina look on the cab. Only the 18 inch alloy wheels, the lowering, the LED taillights and the two-tone paint are really striking. The rest of the body is pretty subtle and almost identical to the series. And also in the cabin they tried to change as little as possible but at the same time to integrate as much as possible modern accessories. It is therefore not surprising that the C10 not only has a functional air conditioning system, but also an integrated navigation system, a sports steering wheel with 12 o'clock marking, a new instrument cluster and sporty leather seats.
