Vyala, Virium, Areion, Big One and Desire! The tuner FAB-Design does not want to present the counterpart to the fantasy comic "The 5 Superheroes" with Dream, Sun, Moon, Twister and Light, but rather five spectacular vehicles that can be seen at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It is a refined Mercedes G-Class, a Mercedes AMG GT, a McLaren 570, the new Tesla Model X and a phenomenal McLaren SLR Roadster. The tuner from Switzerland is known for his idiosyncratic creations such as the Porsche Cayenne Emperor II or even the Mercedes SLS AMG, but since the potential interested parties of FAB Design are more likely to be found in the Middle East, our European perspective should not be overestimated here. For the home game in Geneva, FAB-Design will be on the stage with 5 new models.

The "old" McLaren SLR now with a new freshness

In time for the company's twenty-year anniversary, the McLaren SLR Roadster, which is already getting on in years, has been extensively revised and the unique "Desire 20th anniversary" is put on chic 20-inch rims. The main focus of Desire is the fact that a complete carbon fiber laminate has been manufactured here, resulting in an ultra-light body. Of course, there were a few additional aerodynamic parts on the way. And the interior is not left untouched either, and so the interior shines, for example, with a handcrafted full leather interior in a flashy blue. But it doesn't have to be discussed away, the most important property of a tuned vehicle is definitely the increase in performance. And that was impressively implemented in the SLR. There was a lot more steam for the V8 compressor, which now brings the rear wheels to despair with a full 1.080 Nm torque and impressive 750 PS. The significant increase in performance naturally also requires a modified chassis and so the SLR relies on fully adjustable spring elements at the front and rear, which not only ensure a sportier pace, but also lower the body. As already mentioned, the road contact is made with chic matt black 20-inch rims with 265/30 and 325/25 tires.

The new AMG GTs from FAB with 700 PS

Here the focus is clearly on the spectacular, newly developed wide body kit and the really large spoiler plant. By the way, there is a matt gray foil that looks great in combination with many black and carbon fiber elements and is less flashy than you would actually expect. Of course, a very important criterion here is the increase in performance and after FAB-Design has taken on the twin-turbo V8 engine in the bow, it brings 700 hp and 1.025 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. And if you wish, the interior can of course also be completely redesigned and so, as with almost all vehicles from FAB-Design, you can count on a wide range of leather & carbon etc. And the chassis set-up is also being revised and so there is also a lowering and a new set of alloy wheels that are painted to match the body.

New style for the Tesla Model X

Next is the turn of the Virium and here is the basis of the brand new Tesla Model X. The main focus here is on a wide widebody kit, but unlike the other vehicles you have to look already at 2 x to immediately the differences to be able to make out. Striking are the newly drawn aprons including eye-catching side skirts and of course the wide kit for all four fenders. And also the electric SUV got a new wheelset missed which fits perfectly with its silver paint to the blue body. If you look at the pictures you can hardly believe that the rims have stately 23 inch format and are equipped with extreme 315 / 25 tires. Like many tuners, FAB design leaves the technology of the high-tech SUV at rest because modifications of any kind have not yet been fully developed on hybrid vehicles, or especially on electrically powered cars.

a crazy wide body McLaren 540/570

And for the British athlete McLaren 540 / 570 FAB design has a lot of changes in stock and the name here is sounding Vyala. Here, too, relies on an extensive wide-body kit also features new bumpers, side skirts, lush paneling for the fenders and a striking intake snorkel on the roof and a fixed rear wing in gooseneck design. And here, of course, a new wheelset may not be missing and in conjunction with a discreet lowering the 20 inch large rims are front, and the 21 Zöller rear, perfectly fitted into the wheel arch. Of course, the most important criterion here is an increase in performance, and soon 640 PS and 650 Nm torque will ensure improved propulsion.

Mercedes G63 AMG - Big One

Obviously and absolutely spectacular, the last project called “Big One” comes next, the basis here is a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG! To somehow justify the term “big”, of course, you had to create more than just a few new aerodynamic parts. That this would of course be achieved with a complete extension of the body by an impressive 75 cm would certainly not have been expected before the presentation. From now on, the G-Class, in the FAB design variant, has grown to 5,50 m and how it has been implemented is absolutely phenomenal and unique. The “stretching” of the body was done very skillfully, and relatively inconspicuous, by extending the front doors by 20cm and also letting the rear doors grow by a whopping 30cm. Anyone who can now calculate will find that there is still a good 25 cm missing and the tuner achieves this by extending the C-pillars. The space gained in this way is fully used for the interior, which now has more flair than many a luxury hotel room. For example, you have packed in a high-end infotainment system, a lot of quilted leather and fine teak, two individual seats, a continuous center console with huge storage compartments and even a partition including a screen and a whole host of other modifications. And externally, the G-Class was given a completely new look because the already well-known Shahin wide-body carbon body kit and a set of 23 inch rims were installed here. It goes without saying that the Big One is not mass-produced and so it is not surprising that only 10 copies are produced in total.
