The conversion of the previously valid NEDC to the new WLTP cycle has the AUS sealed for the current BMW M3. And while the 2019er M3 G80 is still loosely 2 years in coming. You build the M3 GTS + and it is clearly superior to the upcoming M3 in terms of performance. The basis is a competition model that uses modified intake, in-house stainless steel exhaust system with EC approval and specially adapted chip tuning to produce 450 hp instead of the factory 560 hp. At the same time, the torque increases from 550 NM to 680 NM. The electronic limitation of the top speed has also been removed and a short video (below) shows that the M3 can keep up with a 630 PS & 730 NM M6 without any problems. The seven-speed dual clutch transmission, which has received a corresponding upgrade, has also been adapted to the additional power and there have also been various changes in terms of appearance.
Here Wetterauer installed from the optional M-Performance program the carbon front spoiler, carbon air inlets and a sporty carbon diffuser. The Competition brings the black kidneys and gills, the black M3 emblem and the discreet spoiler lip with it ex works. The visual highlight is definitely the new wheelset from the house Vorsteiner which impresses with a polished gold finish. This is the 002 XSXX XSXX XS 20 wheel which, with its 5 dual-spoke design, gives you a generous view of the golden brake calipers on the optional M carbon ceramic brake system. And who looks closely recognizes a subtle lowering.
Here Wetterauer decided for an Öhlins coilover suspension that was adapted to the DSC (ESP) control. The factory EDC (Electronic Damping Control) function has been deactivated without additional module. More details are not available for the Wetterauer M3 GTS + at the moment.
