Very cool - Wetterauer Engineering VW Golf R MK7 Variant

Reading time 3 Min.

Before 5 days we have you VW GOLF VII R O.CT450 by O.CT Tuning presented and shown what can be gotten out of the standard 300PS Golf "R". Not quite as potent, optically significantly modified, is the combination version of the VW Golf R MK7 from Wetterauer Engineering that the tuner presented during the days. In addition to a multi-level increase in performance that leads to a maximum of 400PS & 510NM torque, the 7 Series convinces above all with its successful look. It is clearly in the direction of the street thanks to a variant 3 coilover kit from KW and gepfeffert.com with KW-Clubsport-Domlager. The now significantly lowered body also houses a set of 20 inch mbDESIGN LV1 alloy wheels with 235/30 tires that optimally fill the wheel arches.

Further tuning amenities such as a stainless steel sports exhaust system or a set of SRS-Tec fenders make the Wetterauer MK7 look extremely dynamic and the exhaust system in particular makes this acoustically clear. The guys around the Wetterauer Engineering team have published the finished project and we are happy to be able to show you the first pictures. After the extensive tuning cure that this MK7 R Variant was allowed to endure, it is now much more powerful, sportier and more dynamic than the production version and still has hardly lost any of its everyday use. If you are thinking of buying an MK7 R in the future or already own one, Wetterauer Engineering is definitely an interesting starting point when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model.

Regarding the further changes in the optics or the technology, we have made smart and the most important details in experience. As always, we list what we know in a summary for you in the lower part of the article. But if you discovered more changes that we did not notice, just use our comment box and let us know!

Ps. If you have more tuned vehicles like this one 262PS VW Polo GTI  or even one Fiat 500 Abarth with 165PS from Wetterauer Engineering simply clicks on the photo reference below on the tuner name!
