Due to a highly developed vehicle scanner with the size of a car wash, TÜV Rheinland will be able to provide a more effective appraisal report in the future. The Bochum technology start-up "adomea", which has developed a system for the automated recording of damage, has taken over this task.
Experts previously needed 20 to 30 minutes
It is called MIKo system (Mobile identification system for motor vehicle surface defects) and is able to create a detailed image of the "outer skin" of a car within just 30 to 60 seconds. This is especially useful in case of hail damage or vandalism where vehicles are deliberately scratched. Here, insurance companies can access the convenient MIKo system technology and work more effectively. But also for rental cars, leasing returns or other services where a large fleet of vehicles is used, the system is suitable. The digital vehicle file creates more time for the expert to examine the interior, the technology or even individual changes such as tuning on the vehicle.
