The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S was developed for powerful limousines and classy super sports cars and brings a noticeable increase in race performance due to an exclusive technology package with bi-compound, dynamic response and variable contact patch. The high-performance tire is the successor to the famous Michelin Pilot Super Sport and has been further improved. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S impresses with maximum grip on dry and wet asphalt as well as a high level of stability, which is guaranteed at all times even in the high-speed range.

The ultra-high-performance tire is available in Germany in 42 variants for 19 or 20 inch bikes; further models with 2018 and 21 inches are planned for 22. There is also a choice of tire widths between 225 to 345 millimeters and variants with the tire dimensions 345/30 ZR 19 (106 Y) and 275/30 ZR 19 (96 Y) EL, which are designed for a top speed of 400 km / h. All other versions of the sporty model are approved for maximum speeds beyond 300 km / h. Thanks to the dynamic response technology, the sporty tire has improved steering precision, and thanks to a mixture of the high-quality materials amaride and nylon, optimal steering behavior can also be guaranteed. The tear-resistant materials prevent the tire from changing shape, which enables a constant contact surface even at high speeds.
The manufacturer's so-called bi-compound technology is used in high-quality tires. It is an innovative tread structure that delivers excellent results on both wet and dry surfaces. The technology was originally developed for racing tires and uses a different mixture for the inside and outside of the tire in order to obtain good grip and excellent control even on wet roads.
