Anyone who drives a moped or an approved e-scooter may be wondering when will the new insurance number plate be mandatory in 2022? We know it! Insurance protection is also required by law for mopeds, mopeds or e-scooters. Its topicality can be determined by the color read off the license plate: from Blue is it going to Green. From March 1st, the blue moped number plate invalid and mopeds must be registered from then on green insurance indicator carry. Anyone driving with an old license plate after February 28th will lose their vehicle liability insurance coverage and will also be committing a criminal offense. - for small motorcycles such as mopeds and mopeds with a maximum displacement of 50 cubic centimeters and a maximum speed of 45 km/h
– for electric bikes with pedal assistance and a maximum speed of over 25 km/h as well as pedal-independent motor support of over 6 km/h up to a maximum of 45 km/h
- for quads & trikes with a maximum speed of max. 45 km/h (displacement max. 50 cm³)
– for e-scooters with an operating permit that can travel at a maximum of 45 kilometers per hour
– for motorized wheelchairs
- for mopeds / mopeds from GDR production (maximum speed max. 60 km/h, which were insured before March 1, 1992) - Insurance sticker with the dimensions 6,7×5,5 cm is required for:
– E-scooters or Segways with an operating permit in accordance with the Small Electric Vehicles Ordinance of June 15, 2019
